Privacy notice
This notice explains what the Friends of Little Downsend (the school's parent-teacher association, "we") do with your information when you use this website.
What we collect
- When you buy uniform or donate: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, your child's class if you give it, what you bought and when, and any message you leave. We do not see or store your card details: payment is taken by Stripe on their secure page.
- When you sign up for news: your email address and, if you give it, your name.
- When you contact us: your name, email address and message.
- Automatically: the site keeps ordinary server logs (the address your device connects from, the pages requested) for a short time to keep the site running and secure. There are no advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- To reserve and hand over what you bought, email you a confirmation, and answer questions about an order.
- To refund you if something is wrong.
- To send you news and event notices you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep accounts for the PTA's treasurer.
The lawful basis is the contract with you for a purchase or donation, your consent for news emails, and our legitimate interest in running the PTA and keeping the site secure.
Who else sees it
- Stripe processes payments and sees your email and the amount. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Microsoft Azure hosts the site and its database in the UK, and delivers our email.
- Committee members see orders so they can hand items over.
We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Order and donation records are kept for six years for the PTA's accounts. News sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are deleted once dealt with.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@littledownsend.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Photos
Photos in the shop are of clothes only. If you ever see a child in a photo on this site, tell us and we will remove it immediately.
